Important Child Protection Update: The Independent Safeguarding Authority
We are in constant communication with the Vetting and Barring agency to ensure we are doing everything in our power to safeguard your child. We have received an update regarding the timescales as to the integration of the ISA, please see below:- From October 2009, it will be an offence for an individual who is barred by the ISA from working in regulated activity to attempt to do so. An ISA equivalent to POVAFirst will be in force at this time, and it is expected that TPonline (the List 99 checking service) will continue until 2011.We will be continuing with our stringent checks to ensure we are following the recommendations- From November 2010, we will be required to ensure that every new member of staff we employ or take on is registered with the ISA. We will ensure any new tutors that we register provide an ISA number or THEY WILL NOT BE REGISTERED- All our existing tutors will be required to register by 2015. From 2015 it will become an offence to employ someone in regulated activity that is not registered. We will ensure we meet this requirement and will aim to have all our existing tutors registered with the ISA prior to this date.If you have any queries, please contact
